About Adriane

From Hollywood, California, Adriane Callas began entertaining at an early age in Musical Theatre, Dance and Violin.  In addition to studying Music at Oxford University, England, she was the recipient of a Jazz Vocal scholarship at  Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena, California.

Having studied Voice with JVC Jazz artist Kevyn Lettau, Evelyn Halus at Seth Riggs Studios (SLS), and Estill EVT Masters Helga Westmark & Marcello Zempt, Adriane also taught voice at top entertaiment industry institutions Los Angeles Music Academy (now LA College of Music),  The Performer’s Academy, and Orange County High School of the Arts ( “Glee”) as Pop Vocal Instructor, IA Show Coordinator and Choreographer.

Theatrical roles have included productions of West Side Story, Evita, Bye Bye Birdie, Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, Commedia Dell’Arte and Cabaret: A Musical Revue.

International tours include four years of Musical Theatre Revue shows at
Huis Ten Bosch Resort in Japan under the artistic vision of beloved show director Derick LaSalla (Disney, Coca-Cola, Batboy The Musical) as well as diverse cabarets & club venues throughout Europe.

Having worked with LA musicians Ray Weston (Tom Jones, Wishbone Ash, Right Said Fred, Bjork) and Simeon Pillich (Taylor Swift) Adriane also performed with her own Trio in theatres, jazz clubs, cabarets, and historical landmarks throughout the United States and Europe.

Studio Recordings include Big Band Swing (Japan), Italian Renaissance, LA Singer/Songwriter Project (USA) and lead vocals for Original Score in award-winning documentary film “Behind The Orange Curtain”.

 

THE DUTCH CONNECTION:

A seasoned Commercial Voiceover artist and Corporate Presenter for Ricoh, B.V. Netherlands, Adriane also joined the on-air news team as English News Presenter for Radio Nederland Wereld Omroep for two years.

For four years Adriane played a 16th century amalgam of the Dutch Queens Wilhelmina & Juliana at Huis Ten Bosch, Nagasaki Holland Village in Japan. Adriane’s entree to learning  Holland’s rich history began with mastering basic Dutch phrases and studying historic figures from The Netherlands while performing in a resort dedicated to celebrating the Dutch & Japanese cultures.

Now a resident of Holland, Adriane brings her combined experience of vocal performance and knowledge of the Dutch language to provide a unique ability to relate to the native Dutch speaker/singer who wishes to hone their English pronunciation skills.

It is Adriane’s  greatest wish to contribute to the Dutch community that has embraced her by entertainingteaching, and providing personal coaching to those seeking to engage in authentic English pronunciation.
